757,983. Mine roof support bars. GUTEHOFFNUNGSHUTTE OBERHAUSEN AKT. GES. April 23, 1952 [April 23, 1951], No. 10228/52. Class 20(2). A mine roof bar 1 has mounted thereon a channel section shoe 7 by engaging inwardly projecting studs 6 on the shoe with guide surfaces 5 on the bar, a second bar 2 is then connected to the bar 1 by a pivot 9 and inclined ledges 12 on the shoe are engaged over the projecting ends of the pivot 9 to lock the bars together. Two symmetrically arranged guide surfaces 5 are provided to allow the bars to be used either way up.
