756,809. Reaping machines. PEDERSEN, S., and PEDERSEN, S. Aug. 26, 1954, No. 24856/54. Class 6 (3). In a reaper-binder, the cut crop is guided, by a helically-bladed reel 1, against a vertical surface 2 along which it is moved by endless belts 3 having prongs 5 which project through slots in the surface. The reel is vertically adjustable to suit crops of different heights and the helical formation of the reel-bars causes the crop-stems to travel along the wall 2 with their lower ends in advance.
