A grape fruit &c. half, placed in a cup 24 is peeled by a curved knife 10 forced into the fruit and then rotated, by its handle 1, between the fruit and the skin, the knife being guided by a spaced guide 4 which bears against the side of the cup holder 23. At the other end of the handle 1 is a corer 3 with fluted edges 20 which is. first pressed into the core of the fruit before the peeling. After coring and peeling, diagonal or radial cuts are made in the fruit by knife edges 8 formed on the guide 4 which has a penetrating point 9. The knife 10 and its guide 4 are spaced by a washer 16, all being secured to the handle 1 by a spike or pin 15. The handle I has flats against which the knife 10 and the guide 4 bear to prevent their rotation on the handle. The fruit holder 23 has cups 24, 25 of different sizes at its top and bottom. The cups have projections 26 to prevent rotation of the fruit. In the Provisional Specification there is no holder, but the guide 4 is curved to bear on the outside of the fruit. The corer is a tube with a sharp edged spike stored in the hollow handle and removed and reinserted, spike outwards for cutting round the core and for making radial cuts. The spacing of the knife and guide is adjustable to suit different thicknesses of skins.
