Abstract

755,710. Electric lamp decorations. BRANCH, R. F. Nov. 26, 1954, No. 34281/54. Classes 75(2) and 75(4). [Also in Group XV] In an electric light assembly in which an electric bulb 18 is provided with a plug engaged in a socket 14 a pointed and centrally apertured star assembly 10 of translucent material is mounted by an aperture 32, provided with projections 38, on the bulb 18 between the zone of maximum diameter of the bulb 18 and the plug so that light rays will pass to the interior of pointed portions 24 of the star which are bevelled at 40, 42 for reflecting the light. A smaller translucent star 22 provided with points 44 bevelled at 56, 58 may be fitted into a complementary recess 60 in the front face of a larger star 20 and the stars 20, 22 may be of different colours. The smaller star 22 is held in position by a peg 62 engaging a hole 64 in the larger star 20. In an alternative arrangement, Fig. 4 (not shown) the smaller star is arranged to fit a recess in the rear face of the large star. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 5 the star has bevelled edges 240, 242 only forming the points 224 the rest of the star is cut away at 232 and the star is held in position on the bulb by pro. jections 238.
