Abstract

755,248. Agricultural implements. BROWN TRACTORS (ENGINEERING), Ltd., D. March 7, 1955 [Feb. 19, 1954], No. 4878/54. Class 6 (1). A plough body is provided with a point bar c which is engaged by two projections b, e on the plough body and is bent into clamped engagement with a third projection f by means of a clamping screw h which is substantially in line with the projection f. As shown, the projections and the screw engage in grooves in the point bar. The screw h may be positioned to the front or the rear of the projection f. In a modification, the projections are located in the same side of the bar so that when the bar is in the unclamped position it makes contact with the front and rear projections and is forced against the intermediate projection by the screw which is situated in line with the intermediate projection and on the opposite side of the bar.
