Brassiere cups are constructed from a fabric made of synthetic polyamidic horse-hair by cutting out the component elements at raised temperature, seaming them together, and then stamping the assembled elements at raised temperature so as to produce a shrinking of the fabric and a shaping by means of a mould. Each component element of the brassiere cup may be cut from an assembly of materials, including one or more covering or lining fabrics, together with the polyamidic horse-hair fabric.
