Abstract
753,954. Gates. TURNER'S ENGINEERING FORGINGS, Ltd., and ASTBURY, T. N. July 29, 1954, No. 22112/54. Class 45. A gate a made of tubular metal and metal mesh is pivoted at g to a like panel b for rotation in its own plane as indicated by the arrow. The gate is prevented from sagging by a stop e on the panel c and is located thereagainst by clips f welded to the said panel. The securing means, Fig. 5, for the gate a comprises a lug h thereon adapted to engage a slotted arm i pivoted to the frame b; lug h being apertured to receive a padlock. The gate is provided with a guard j which acts as a ground support when the gate is opened and is also provided with a bracket k (see Fig. 2, not shown), adapted to engage the top rung of the frame b. In a modification, Fig. 6 (not shown), two contra rotatable gates are provided each adapted to engage an upright stanchion n provided with at least one retaining clip o therefor. Each gate has adjustable feet p and one gate has a spring clip g welded thereto. Stanchions n can replace or be used in conjunction with the bracket k.
