753,840. Dispensing measured quantities of liquid. PERSIL-FABRIKKEN AKTIESELSKAB. Dec. 29, 1954 [Jan. 6, 1954], No. 37572/54. Class 106(5) A device for dispensing definite quantities of liquid from a container 13, Fig. 4, comprises a cup 1, Fig. 1, provided with a tube 2 having one or more openings 4 extending to a height corresponding to the level of the liquid desired in the cup. The device is operated by inverting the container 13 so that liquid ows into the cup 1 until it reaches the level of the top of the opening 4 whereafter the container is held in an inclined position to discharge the measured quantity from the cup 1. Drips from the cup 1 are collected in a bowl 5 secured to the tube 2 by stay ribs 6 which also serve as abutments to limit the penetration of the tube 2 into a resilient insert mounted in the mouth of the container and provided with a conical bore. The insert is connected by a band 10 to a stopper 9 which is provided wtih an additional band 12 to facilitate its removal. The device is manufactured from transparent material and may be used for dispensing washing preparations.
