[Also in Group XXXVI] In pH measuring apparatus employing a solid electrode support 9 attached to an armature 4 vibrating under the action of an A.C. energized coil 3 against two flat spiral springs 5, 5a, the movement of the support 9 is restricted to one plane only by a ring 10 adjustable by three symmetrically located set screws 12. The electrode may be constrained to move in a straight line, as shown, or in an arc.
