Abstract
751,694. Photographic cameras. LYTAX WERKE GES. Aug. 24, 1954 [Sept. 18, 1953], No. 24587/54. Class 98 (1). An arrangement for exploring the interior of a hollow body photographically comprises a camera rotatably mounted in a bushing, means for temporarily fixing the bushing within the hollow body, and a gear member fixed relatively to the bushing and co-operating with another gear member mounted on the camera for driving a film feed mechanism of the camera when the camera is rotated relatively to the bushing. As shown, the central tubular portion 1a of the camera 1 is rotatably mounted in a bush 2 attached to the inside of the hollow body 4 by electromagnets 3. The bush 2 carries a bevel gear 5 which meshes with a gear 6, on the camera body, from which through the train 7, 8, 9, 10 the film driving roller 11 is driven as the camera is rotated by the shaft 1b. A spring-loaded pivoted member 16 presses on the wall of the body 13 through an aperture 13 in the camera body, the member 16 itself having an aperture 13a through which by reflection from an inclined mirror 14, an image of the wall is formed on the film by the lens 15, the wall being illuminated by lamps 18 in shields 19. The lens mount is coupled to the member 16 by a bell-crank 17 to maintain focus for different diameters of the hollow body. The film drive, in an alternative embodiment, includes a friction drive of variable ratio also coupled to the member 16. The bush 2 may be secured to the body 4 by clamping instead of by electromagnets.
