Abstract
751,513. Switchgear structures. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP COQ. Feb. 26, 1954 [March 4, 1953], No. 5744/54. Class 38(5) In switchgear having switching rods 5 co-operating with fixed switch contacts (not shown), each rod is detachably coupled with the, driving mechanism so that it may be withdrawn from the gear whilst the fixed contacts are alive. The driving mechanism includes spaced parallel bars 4 (one shown) and the rod 5 has an abutment 8 which in one angular position of the rod abuts the bars 4 and in another angular position can pass between the bars 4. A knob 10 fixed against rotation relative, to the rod is axially movable on the rod against the bias of a spring 11. When the knob 10 is pulled, projections 12 extending from the knob are removed from locking engagement with recesses 13 in the bars 4. Then the knob may be turned so as to turn the rod 5 into the position from which it may be removed from the bars 4 and from the switchgear.
