751,175. Discharging cigarettes. KORBER, K. June 9, 1954 [Aug. 6, 1953], No. 16922/54. Class 78 (1). Apparatus for discharging cigarettes from a container 1 to a lower chamber 3 provided with partitions 5 above which rotating rolls 7 are arranged such that at any one time only one cigarette can pass between adjacent rolls into the respective compartment of the chamber, is characterised in that the axis of each rotating roll receives a horizontal and vertical movement during its rotation. As shown, the rolls are eccentrically mounted and may have grooves in their surfaces into which stationary fingers project so as to throw the cigarettes clear of the rolls.
