Classes 110(1) and 110(3) In a rotor assembly for a gas turbine plant or an exhaust-gas turbo-blower, a hollow cup-like member carries the turbine rotor on the exterior of its base and carries the blower rotor on its peripheral surface, and a tubular support for the rotor shaft bearings projects into the cuplike member, the rotor shaft being connected to the interior of the said base; the cross-section of the base in the direction of heat conduction to the blower is larger than the cross-section of the points of contact of its interior with the rotor shaft. This arrangement limits the flow of heat from the turbine rotor to the rotor shaft and bearings. A screen situated between the turbine and blower rotors limits radiation of heat from the turbine rotor and is cooled by air leaking from the blower rotor and passing along one or both sides of the screen. The subject-matter is substantially the same as that of Specification 750,508, but the claims differ.
