747,131. Insulators. RHEINISCH-WESTFALISCHE ISOLATOREN - WERKE GES. Feb. 15, 1954 [Feb. 18, 1953], No. 4339/54. Class 36. In an insulator 1 having sheds 6, the peripheral surface of the shank between the sheds is provided with annular, sharp-edged projections 7. The depressions 8 between the projections preferably have rounded bases, and each shed 6, which may be of greater diameter than the annular projections 7, is preferably provided with a rounded drip edge 10. The insulator may be coated. with a water-repellant glaze or lacquer.
