745,682. Copy-turning. MAXNOVO MECCANICA DI PRECISIONE SOC. PER AZIONI. July 16, 1953 [Aug. 4, 1952], No. 19790/53. Class 83 (3). Hydraulically-operated copying apparatus for lathes and like machines, comprising a piston valve 23 movable axially by a feeler engaging a pattern 35 to actuate a hydraulic mechanism, through concentric conduits 34, for reproducing the feeler movements, is characterized in that the feeler 1 is carried by a member 2 pivoted at 3 on a cap 4 pivotally adjustable about the valve axis, the feeler being inclined to said axis, and in that the valve is axially adjustable, independently of the feeler movements, by a lever 21 and a Bowden-wire 30 connected to a remote point near the operator. A spring 32 tends to move the valve upwards but is normally overcome by a strong spring 27, controlled by the wire 30. An adjustable screw 33 limits the depth of contact of the tracer with the pattern.
