Abstract

739,194. Dispensing measured quantities of granular materials. VOYCE, T. G. B. April 29, 1954 [April 27, 1953], No. 11552/53. Class 106 (5). A carton or like container 1, Fig. 1, comprises an internal partition 2 dividing from the main internal space of the carton a duct or passage communicating at one end 3 with the main internal space of the carton and at its other end with an outlet aperture 4 in the carton wall. The partition 2 and the container 1 may be of cardboard, the partition being provided with flaps which enable it to be secured to the carton by adhesive. Fig. 3 shows an alternative embodiment in which a partition 5 communicating with apertures 7, 10 is arranged adjacent a side wall of the carton. The apertures 4, 10 may be closed by flaps sealed to the container wall when the carton is initially filled.
