738,248. Moulding fuel briquettes &c. ANCIENS ETABLISSEMENTS SAHUT, CONREUR ET CIE., CONREUR, LEDENT ET CIE. Nov. 11, 1953 [Dec. 11, 1952], No. 31250/53. Class 87 (2). The hopper of a briquetting press with moulding wheels a, b, is provided with a feeder comprising rotating prisms c, d driven by spur gears c<1>, d<1> so that they rotate in opposite directions, the meshing of the gears being such that the edge of one prism sweeps the plane surface of the other. The prisms are driven from the main shaft k via cone pulleys g and h to give the desired speed of rotation. The speed variation may be carried out by other systems, e.g. a variable speed motor. The. bases of the prisms may be triangular, polygonal or of other shape, the feeder may comprise more than two prisms with parallel axes, and if there are two pairs of moulding wheels each pair of wheels has a separate distributer.
