Abstract
736,434. Destination labels. BI-WAY LABEL & PRINTING CO., Ltd. Nov. 5, 1953 [Jan. 28, 1953], No. 2402/53. Class 73. A "reversible destination" label comprises a main portion 11, Fig. 1, for the consignors and consignees names and addresses and bearing "TO" and "FROM" indications 12 and a detachable flap 14 carrying reversed destination indications is connected to the main portion by a line of perforations a and has an adhesive edge portion 15 defined by a line of perforations b, so that when the flap 14 is folded at the line a and secured to the main portion by the adhesive edge 15 to cover the indications 12 thereon, the flap 14 may be torn along the lines a, b to disclose the indications 12 as shown in Fig. 3. In a modification, Fig. 8, the flap 14 is made as a separate part and is formed with lines of perforations b, c defining adhesive edge portions 15, 151 for securing it to the main portion of the label. In further modifications two flaps may be provided along opposite edges to indicate separately " TO " and "FROM" or a separate flap may be stuck across the centre of the main portions. Figs. 4-7 (not shown) show various means for facilitating detachment of the flap 14.
