Abstract

736,267. Heat insulation. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. Sept. 15, 1953 [Oct. 1, 1952], No. 25416/53. Class 64 (2). A pad 44 of asbestos felt is contained in a skin 46 of nickel-chrome-iron alloy foil to form a cover for a gas turbine exhaust duct 12 and the longitudinal edges are laced together by wires 36, 38 engaging hooks 40 secured to edgeseams of the cover. The join may be covered by a flap 60 spot welded at 62 near one edge of the cover and laced loosely to hooks 70 near the other edge.
