Abstract
735,068. Turbine blades. DEUTSCHE GOLDUND SILBER-SCHEIDEANSTALT VORM. ROESSLER. Nov. 3, 1952 [Nov. 3, 1951], No. 27629/52. Class 110 (3). [Also in Group XII] A ceramic heat-resistant turbine blade, has a plurality of narrow grooves 2 formed in one face or two opposite faces thereof, the depth of each groove being greater than its breadth and the grooves being so arranged that they do not intersect with grooves on the opposite face of the unit. The grooves have rounded ends 3 and may be wholly or partly filled with material which, compared with the material of the unit, has a smaller modulus of elasticity, a smaller coefficient of thermal expansion, a lower heat conductivity or a smaller coefficient of heat transfer.
