Abstract

734,994. Napkins. MURPHY, M. A. Aug. 6, 1953 [Oct. 10, 1952; April 22, 1953], No. 21772/53. Class 141. A child's napkin of the type having a waisted shape intended to be folded centrally and secured by detachable fastening means at one or both ends of the nakpin is characterized in that it comprises two thicknesses of material, an opening 7 being formed at one side 1 giving access to a pocket between the two layers adapted to hold a waterproof and /or absorbent pad 8, the detachable fastening means comprising a plurality of spaced apart press studs 4 on reinforcing tapes 5 projecting from the exterior surface near the bottom corners, corresponding press stud sockets 6 being positioned near the upper corners. Elastic insertions 3 may be provided at the ends and securing tapes 10 may also be provided.
