Abstract
A therapeutic preparation for the treatment of tuberculous diseases comprises 4 to 15 parts of isonicotinic acid hydrazide and 1 to 3 parts of pyridine-3-aldehyde thiosemicarbazone, preferably in admixture with a pharmaceutical carrier. The active ingredients may be in the form of the free bases or acid salts such as hydrochloride, sulphate, phosphate and ethane disulphonate. Per unit dosage, the combined active ingredients are used in quantities of 10 to 200 mg. tablets containing the active ingredients, lactose, talc, starch and gelatine are described.
