733,308. Optical objectives. VERKHAUFSAKT.-GES. H. WILD'S GEODATISCHE INSTRUMENTE. Dec. 15, 1953 [Dec. 15, 1952], No. 34945/53. Addition to 680,185. Class 97 (1). In a wide-angle objective made up of six components of which the two inner components, enclosing the diaphragm, are positive and are enclosed on each side by two negative meniscus components concave to the diaphragm, the air spaces between the respective divergent components each having the form of a converging meniscus, each of the inner diverging meniscus components is separated from the adjacent converging component by an axial air space less than the corresponding air space separating it from the adjacent outer component. The axial distance between the outer faces of the inner divergent components may be between 1.00F and 0.35F, where F is the focal length of the objective. Numerical data are given for two examples of the objective shown.
