Chases; furniture; locking devices.-A device for setting and locking at a desired angle type, type blocks or stamping blocks comprises a square shaped metal frame or chase 1 provided with a circular aperture within which is fitted a segmental core 2a, 2b. The type, type blocks or stamping blocks' are fitted into the square aperture defined by the core and locked in position by means of bolts 3, threaded diagonally through the chase 1, and acting on bushes 4 located in slots in the chase 1. The angle at which the type or the like is set may be varied by unscrewing the bolts 3, rotating the assembled type and core 2a, 2b within the chase 1 to the desired position, and re-tightening the bolts 3.
