[Also in Groups X and XI] A grille-like article such as a window guard comprises a framework 1, Fig. 1, of strip metal forming an outer surround and a number of internal horizontally and vertically extending bars 2 defining a number of spaces and one or more sheet-like decorative panels 3, 4 inserted into one or more of the spaces, the panels being representations of animals or other objects of interest to children. The panels may be of coloured plastic material, transparent, translucent or opaque and may be in three dimensions by moulding in relief, intaglio or bending the sheet material out of its normal plane. The guard may be detachably secured to a window frame 5 by locking devices 6 each consisting of a locking screw 7, Fig. 3, threaded through a body portion 8 secured to the window frame 5, and a clamping plate 10 cooperating with screw 7 and frame 1.
