Abstract

731,876. Road marking studs. LAYTON. D. A. May 7, 1954 [May 11, 1953], No. 13079/53, Class 3(2). A road marking stud comprises light reflecting and/or refracting means 11 mounted on a platform 10 which is provided with a skirt portion adapted to wipe the said means 11 when the latter is displaced. The platform 10 is made of rubber or rubber-like material and is provided with a wire or canvas reinforcement. The crown portion of the member 10 is substantially flat or slightly convex and the skirt portion 10a decreases in thickness towards its edge 10b. The casing 1 is provided with locating grooves 2 and cavities 4, 5 separated by a platform 6. The platform 6 may be apertured to permit access to the nut 13 and may constitute the bottom wall of the casing 1.
