[Also in Group VI] In splitting pig's heads &c. by a poweroperated cleaving blade 16 as in the parent Specification, the blade can be set at an anglo to its previous, edge setting. The piston 19 operating the blade is guided vertically by a spline 64 over which runs a groove in a, boss 69. of the piston top 68. whereby the piston is prevented from rotating during its stroke. When the spline 64 is rotated by loosening the nut 66 and rotating the spline carrier 63 the piston 19 and attached blade is rotated to the required angle and clamped by the nut 66.
