[Also in Group XI] A boot lid 7 comprises a number plate 11 and lighting units 12 for illuminating the plates (see Group XI), the units 12 being provided with extensions 13 for lifting the lid. The lid may be locked either by a separate lock 15 or a lock built into a unit 12. In a modification each unit 12 may be provided with an overhanging or lip-like handgrip.
