Abstract

In making magnetic dust cores by the method forming the subject of the parent Specification in which hollow spherical particles of iron produced by the oxidized pig-iron process are used, these particles are crushed, preferably by rolling into flat lamin before forming the core. The lamin may be annealed in a neutral or reducing atmosphere to remove both strains and surface dross. The insulation may be a coating of oxide or lacquer.
