Abstract
724,209. Multistable state circuits. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. March 19, 1953 [March 19, 1952], No. 7122/52. Class 40 (6). [Also in Group XIX] A multistable state circuit used for carry-over between multicathode counting tubes operable both additively and subtractively, comprises a plurality of tubes V1 ... V3 with a common cathode load R4 and an RC arrangement in each anode circuit. Triggering of any tube raises the common cathode potential and hence extinguishes any other tube which is conducting at that time. Outputs from the anodes of tubes V2 and V3 lead to the transfer electrodes of the multicathode tube of the next higher stage and, in accordance with the order in which the output pulses occur, perform a positive or negative carry-over as the case may be.
