As shown, a conveyer section comprises a base structure consisting of inner angle members 2 secured to skid flats 1, a trough section 8 for the upper run of a scraper chain 9 and a pair of upper and outer angle members 12 having horizontal flanges extending inwardly over the scraper chain. In assembly, headed pegs 11 on the trough section are engaged in slots 4 in the angle members 2 to assemble the trough on the base frame, after which the angle members 12 are lowered into place, Z-shaped projections 17 on their vertical flanges sliding behind similar Z-shaped projections 5 on the vertical flanges of members 2.
