Abstract

721,563. Shoe-fitting apparatus. LENNARDS, Ltd. March 12, 1953 [May 19, 1952], No. 12647/52. Class 17 (3). A shoe-fitting apparatus comprises a series of impressions 1 made in separate elements 8 which are arranged in a frame 2 with divisions 3, 4 to simulate a ladder. The impressions are moulded in the element which may be of plaster of paris, cement, rubber, especially sponge or foamed latex, synthetic resin, aluminium or other metal conveniently by use of the actual last on which the shoes are made. The shoe sizes may be marked on the frame or on the separate elements, and fittings may be indicated by lines drawn on the base of the impressions. Modified ways of mounting the elements are described such as in a framework forming steps or in both sides of a foldable frame. Alternatively, a series of impressions may be made in a single base comprising a one-piece moulding.
