Abstract
A secondary emitting electrode is of a nickel iron chromium alloy with a sensitized surface formed thereon. The alloy to be used is preferably that described in Specification 647,255. containing 3-45 per cent. nickel, 3-15 per cent. chromium, and 0.1-2 per cent. metals of the group consisting of aluminium, zirconium and calcium. The electrode may be sensitized with barium oxide, caesium oxide or caesium silver oxide.
