715,449. Reservoir pads. DEL PIANO, R. Oct. 20, 1952 [Oct. 23, 1951; May 8, 1952; July 30, 1952], No. 26303/52. Class 19 A stain-remover pad comprises a shell of absorbent material enclosing a fluid-tight container of stainremoving liquid, which, when required for use, is punctured so that the liquid impregnates the pad. One or more capsules 20 of liquid are supported by a recessed circular backing-plate11 of aluminium, the circumferential edge of which is so folded as to provide a wall 14 by which the pad is held and also a clamp 13 gripping a fabric cover 19. An opening 12a, closed by a sheet of paper, is provided in the floor of the backing plate to enable the capsules to be pierced by means of pins 18, which are attached to a further sheet of paper 17 enclosing the base of the pad.
