713,583. Stencilling-apparatus. ROTHFUCHS, A. April 30, 1952 [April 30, 1951], No. 10914/52. Class 100 (2) In stencilling-apparatus, particularly for forming figures &c. on the dial plates of clocks, scales &c., a circular rim 2 carries a gauze-like fabric 3 and inner rims 5<SP>1</SP>, 5<SP>11</SP> guide a synthetic rubber squeegee 9 over the fabric so that the ink or paste-like luminescent material is forced through the fabric and to an underlying stencil plate 4 on to a dial &c. 11 disposed on a support 12, the squeegee 9 being directed or bent towards the direction of movement and mounted within a transparent casing 6. The casing 6 is removably supported on the rim 5<SP>1</SP>, and the squeegee 9 is removably secured by a resilient stirrup 10 to a pivot shaft 8 mounted for rotation in a bush 7 in the casing 6. The shaft 8 can be rotated by a motor, a hand-crank 14, or any known means. The support 12 is provided with an interchangeable centring pin 13 arranged to co-operate with the central aperture in the dial plate 11. The ink &c. is applied by a spatula to the fabric 3 and, on rotation of the shaft 8, there is formed in front of the squeegee a roll of ink &c. which is rotated about its own axis due to the shaped forward end of the squeegee. The rim member 2 is removably arranged in a circular seat 1 provided with a hand'e 18. In a modification, the central portion 5" is formed as a boss to receive the pivot shaft 8.
