712,466. Photographic developing tanks. SCHPOLANSCKY. B. Oct. 9, 1952, No. 25279/52. Class 98(2) A developing tank for photographic roll-film comprises an open-topped container, a cover or lid therefor, a spindle or core of a reel for photographic roll-film in open-roll form rotatably mounted in the container and impeller vane means operable from the ouside of the container for causing circulation of liquid in the container. As shown, the container a has a lid b formed with an opening 4 communicating with a funnel 3 and surrounded by a wall 4<SP>1</SP>. A reel c is supported by its core 7 on wall 4<SP>1</SP> and a boss 8 at the centre of the base of container a. The reel is rotatable from the outside by means of a spindle 5 having a handle 6 and extending through opening 4 to engage the core 7. The core has a fixed flange 10 and movable flanges 11 for the accommodation of one or more films of various widths, which are wound, together with a coil separating apron, between the flanges. Impeller vanes 16 are formed from the material of flange 10 so as to leave openings therein. When the reel is rotated vanes 16 cause a circulation of liquid through the film coils and through the tank in the direction indicated by the arrows.
