Abstract
705,530. Induction coils. SOC. ANON A. CITROEN. Jan. 18, 1952 [Feb. 8, 1951], No. 1471/52. Class 38 (2) An ignition coil for internal combustion engines is characterized in that the windings 1, 2 are contained in a tubular member 7, of a resilient insulating material such as neoprene and having an internal diameter slightly smaller than the external diameter of the windings, and at least one end piece 10 of resilient insulating material of the same diameter as the external diameter of the windings and having projections 11 for receiving the input and output terminals 8, 5 respectively, the edges 13 of the end piece or pieces being initially upturned and then turned down to cover the edge portions 6 and/or 9 of the tubular member 7, the corresponding edges then being secured by cementing or vulcanizing.
