Abstract
698,779. Discharging static electricity. MINISTER OF SUPPLY. Sept. 26, 1952 [Sept. 28, 1951], No. 22754/51. Class 35. A static eliminator comprises krypton 85 confined in a body at such a distance from the surface that beta particles from the krypton reach the outer surface with an absorbtion. of less than 60 per cent. The body may be a fine bored tube and may be cut into such lengths as will provide eliminators of specified activity, or may comprise a metal strip into which the krypton is projected by ionic bombardment.
