Abstract

697,568. Copy-turning. MASCHERPA, A. Sept. 27, 1951, No. 22573/51. Class 83 (iii). A template device for copying- lathes comprises a drum 1 supporting templates arranged in spaced radial planes and with which a tracer co-operates in succession, the drum being rotatable between centres 18a, 19a and means being provided for locking the drum in any position. The template blades 2a, 2b, &c. are carried by holders 4 removably secured in radial slots in the drum by screws 5. A knurled finger-ring 6 enables the drum to be indexed to a desired position in which it may be held by a spring or other means (not described). Alternatively, the drum may be automatically rotated by pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric means.
