An anchoring attachment bolted to the end 6 of a tape 7 comprises a bent-over metal strip 1 having a penetrating spike 12 which is screwthreaded to receive a covering sleeve 13, and a flat strip 10 pointed at each end and having its inner abutment surface roughened by pressedup projections 11.
