Abstract

694,973. Tyre levers. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd. Oct. 2, 1951 [Oct. 17, 1950], No. 25229/50. Class 144(i). A tyre-removing tool comprises a lever 1, with a hooked end 10 adapted to engage the tyre bead, pivoted at 12 to a lever 2 having a bifurcated end formed with hooks 20, 30 to engage the adjacent portion of the rim-flange. Pivoted to the lever 2, at a point more remote from its end than the pivot 12, is a member formed of at least three jointed links 4, 5, 6 terminating in a hook 62 adapted to engage the rim-flange at a position diametrically-opposite the location of the hooked levers. For adapting the tool to rims of different diameters, the end link 6 is provided with apertures 13, 14, 15 for selective engagement by a stud 52.
