Class 87(i) A building block is formed with a number of blind vertical cavities 1 of circular cross-section arranged in rows in staggered relation and separated by thin walls 3. Grooves 8, 9 are provided in the end faces 5 and 5a and a groove or grooves 10 may be provided in the closed top 2 of the block. Shallow grooves may be formed in the faces 4, 4a to facilitate severance of the block.
