Abstract

694,115. Reservoir pads and brushes. WILLIAMS, Ltd., M., and VERRALL, H. J. Aug. 13, 1951 [Aug. 17, 1950], No. 20444/50. Class 19. A pad is mounted on a member supported adjustably in a recess between a projection and a collar which are secured to a container, the projection having an aperture for supplying liquid from the container to the pad under the control of the adjustable member. A container 1 for a cleaning liquid is screwed to a collar 2 which holds a resilient sealing member 3 having ducts 7 for allowing passage for the liquid into a chamber 8. A felt-applicator 5 is secured in a head piece 11 having a duct 16 so shaped that when the head piece is screwed down into the collar the nose of the sealing member closes the duct. The sealing member is stiffened by a plug 6. In alternative embodiments suggested in the Provisional Specification a pad or a tuft of bristles is secured in the constricted end of a container and has its inner end projecting into an absorbent filling in the container so that the absorbed liquid is fed to the exposed ends of the bristles.
