692,569. Lenses. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Feb. 19, 1951 [Feb. 17, 1950], No. 4058/50. Class 97 (i). [Also in Group V] A Fresnel lens is formed of co-planar concentric sections joined edge-to-edge. Sections 2-13 shown are grouped round a central portion 1 and all carry parts of a common system of Fresnel grooves 15. The portions 1 may be plane or may be dispensed with, the portions 2-13 extending to the centre. An outer annular portion, also in sectors, may be added. The grooves in the individual sectors may be straight instead of arcuate. Specification 670,605 is referred to. Specifications 670,575 and 683,215 also are referred to.
