Abstract

The method of producing a smooth organic film on the screen of the cathoderay tube, described in Specification 698,404, is modified by adding to the solution of film material, before spraying, a spreading agent. The solution preferably comprises isobutyl methacrylate dissolved in toleuene and acetone and the spreading agent may be machine oil, gentian violet, acetyl peroxide, an ester of acrylic acid &c.
