Relates to tractor-drawn ploughs of the invertable type, and in which the main beam is supported at its front on the tractor and at its rear on a set of wheels. According to the invention, the main beam is capable of assuming a certain angle relative to the direction of motion and the tractive effort of the tractor is transmitted to the plough exclusively by an element, such as a chain 16, connected to the rear of the plough and to a centre point on the tractor. The plough shares or discs are carried by a rocking fraine and lie at an angle to the axis of the main beam of the plough. In the construction shown, the plough frame comprises a cylindrical member 1 whose rear end 1a is supported on wheels 2 which can swivel about a vertical axis 3 and whose height can be adjusted by a screw device 5. The forward end of the frame is rigid with a member 6 and is connected to the tractor by a long transverse bar 10 which passes through holes 9a, 9b in arms 7a, 7b of the member 6 and through elongated openings 13a, 13b of arms 12a, 12b extending from the tractor draft bar 11. The sole tractive force for the frame is applied by the chain 16 connected at 15 to the frame and by a member 17 to the bar 11. The plough shares 25a, 25b, 26a, 26b are connected to members 23a, 23b which extend at right angles to each other from the member 1, the forward ends of these members being adjustably connected to arms 22a, 22b to vary the positions of the forward shares from the axis of the frame 1. The shares are set at an angle 2 to the frame and have heels 30, 31 which remain in contact with the bottom of the furrow. A hand lever 27 is used to reverse the position of the shares. In a modification, the supports 23a, 23b are fitted with plough discs and are provided at their rear ends with guide heels which bear on the bottom of the furrow.
