Abstract

Milk and other dispersions are homogenized by forcing them through a set of juxtaposed balls all of which have the same diameter and are arranged tetrahedron-wise relative to one another so that the set occupies the minimum volume. The balls may be housed in a cylindrical container, preferably provided with a conical end wall, or in a tetrahedron-shaped container, preferably provided with rounded-off corners.
