Abstract

680,885. Combs. TWITTY, F. L. March 12, 1951 [March 20, 1950], No. 5918/51. Class 131 [Also in Group XXIII] A brush and comb combination comprises a comb 7 provided with a pair of fixed supporting sockets 11 and a toggle lever 19 pivoted upon it and provided with corresponding sockets 12. A pair of brushes 9 having spiral wire cores 10 are sprung between the sockets 11, 12; they may be released by rotation of the toggle lever 19 past dead-centre. The lever 19 is formed of springy material and pivots about a rivet 14; it is provided with indentations 23 which, in the closed position, snap into corresponding recesses in the handle of the comb.
