A valve for dispensing carbonated and other liquid under pressure has a storage chamber with at least one plunger for controlling flow to a surge chamber through a restricted passage, the outlet of the surge chamber is out of line with the inlet and of greater area so that liquid is reduced to atmospheric pressure before discharge. The body 10 of the valve has a tubular support 12 and an inlet 25 for the carbonated water and inlets 42, 43 for syrups. A bore in the body has a plug 14 with three bores for a valve plunger which has a head 28 and a stem 27 and seating in a thimble 29 bearing against the bottom of the plug 14 and urged upwardly by a spring 31. The plug has a diametral bore 30, sealing rings 26 and a groove 16 corresponding with the passage 17 communicating with a tapered bore 18. A plug 23 fits loosely in the bore and extends to a surge chamber 19 closed by a plate 20 having orifices 45. The block has also two bores 32 each with a valve plunger 33 urged upwardly by a spring 37 having an end valve 38, and head 39 and sealing ring 40. A cup 44 surrounds the bottom and is in communication with the surge chamber. The bore has a passage 41 communicating with the inlet syrup pipes. Levers 49, 50 and 51 operate the valves. The levers 49 and 51 rest on both water and syrup valves to operate both together while the lever 50 operates water alone. The water valve is operated before the syrup valve initially and finally closing it last to clean the outlet. On operating either lever 49, 51 the syrup passes to the inlet 41, to chamber 35, past valve 38, 40 to the outlet orifice. The carbonated water passes to the storage chamber 24 through passages 30, 16, 17 and 18 to the surge chamber 19, cup 44, past valve members 38, 40 to the outlet orifice. To provide a high velocity waste jet a tube connects with the central handle. The tube passes through the block 14 and seats on a valve in the storage chamber. The tube has a connection with an outlet tube at the orifice fitted with an injector. Operating the handle rearwardly provides a high velocity water-jet by unseating the valve in the storage chamber to give direct communication with the outlet.
