Abstract
676,261. Clocks. TELEFONBAU UND NORMALZEIT GES. April 5, 1950 [Jan. 28, 1949], No. 8560/50. Class 139 A clock has an indicating pointer movable over the clock dial to serve as a signalling device, said pointer being driven by an electric step-by-step drive. As used e.g. in an office the pointer could serve, in its different positions, to summon different persons to a particular room. The invention as applied to a secondary clock comprises a pointer 15, Figs. 1 and 2, of a different colour from the clock hands and carried by a hollow shaft 17, Fig. 2, concentric with the shafts of the clock hands 13, 14, which are driven by step-bystep drive 16. The shaft 17 is driven, when desired, through gearing 18, 19, 20 by an electromagnetic step-by-step drive 21, the arrangement being such that the pointer 15 moves "5 minutes" at each step.
